Refund Policy
Effective date: 14 September 2026
1. What you are buying
The Patron subscription is a digital product — access to software provided as a service (SaaS). It is available immediately after payment and no physical goods are delivered. Beer Counter is operated by Jan Jaroš, Hlučín, Czech Republic.
2. Try it for free first — no refunds
Beer Counter is free to use. You can fully try logging drinks, statistics, parties, chat and the rest of the core app before you decide to become a Patron.
That is why we do not offer refunds for Patron payments as a rule (no-refund policy). This also applies to unused parts of a billing period and to periods in which you did not use the app.
This does not affect your statutory rights. Where the law gives you a right to a refund or to withdraw from a purchase that cannot be excluded, we and Paddle will respect it.
3. Exceptional cases
If something went seriously wrong — for example you were charged twice, you were charged after cancelling, or a technical fault on our side prevented you from using Patron — contact support.hanypes@gmail.com within 14 days of the payment.
Please include the email address of your Beer Counter account and your receipt or order number. We review each such case individually and may grant a full or partial refund at our discretion. If a refund is granted, Patron benefits for that period end.
4. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel Patron at any time. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for and then simply does not renew — you will not be charged again.
- Web (Paddle): in the app go to Profile → Manage subscription, or use the link in your receipt email from Paddle.
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Deleting the app or your Beer Counter account does not cancel the subscription — always cancel it using the steps above.
5. Purchases through Paddle, Google Play and the App Store
- Web purchases are processed by Paddle as merchant of record; approved refunds are returned by Paddle to the original payment method. The charge usually appears on your statement as PADDLE.NET. You can also get help with an order at https://paddle.net
- Google Play purchases follow Google Play’s refund policy; you can request a refund from Google: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637
- App Store purchases can be refunded only by Apple: https://reportaproblem.apple.com
